studied photography, printmaking, and film at Harvard College, and went
on to earn two Masters' degrees in Fine Art Photography and Communication
Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. She spent a few years teaching
photography and design at RIT and Penn State University, and then left
academia for the corporate world. For
the past 16 years, Edie has worked at O'Reilly Media, a publishing company

months off, and returned to O'Reilly as an editor of books on digital
photography, Photoshop, and graphic design topics. She recently edited,
designed, and produced Adobe Evangelist Julieanne Kost's Window Seat:
The Art of Digital Photography and Creative Thinking (O'Reilly Media,
2006). Edie is currently shooting photographs, writing, and designing her own book about the turning of the seasons along the New England coast. |
